Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

We-Building’s work contributes to the achievement of goals under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to have the most positive impact, we have decided to focus on a few specific SDGs.

SDG 4 – Quality Education

This goal mandates inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all. By building and modernizing inclusive and safe schools, we create infrastructure for education. At the same time, we engage in the domestic education landscape with workshops on building and sustainability for children, youth and adults to create awareness on the topic.

SDG 11 – Sustainable cities and communities

One of the targets of SDG 11 is to make cities, community and settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Countries that are building their infrastructure should be supported with financial and technical assistance to construct sustainable and resilient buildings from local materials. The goal aligns with our focus on sustainable architecture and also helps us strengthen our impact on other SDGs related to alleviating poverty, inequality, hunger, and lack of natural resources.

SDG 13 – Climate action

SDG 13 takes climate action as well as specific targets related to adaptation in response to climate action as a focus. Through effective planning and efficient construction, we support people and climate-friendly housing. Wherever possible, we make use of resource conservation, locally available materials, local expertise, and environmentally friendly building materials.
